Tess Christine is a fashion and beauty blogger in New York City. I love watching all of her videos on Youtube because of how well they are done. She puts a lot of time into each one to really help the viewer get inspiration for outfit ideas and fashion. Below is a screenshot of one of her latest videos on “what she wore this week” It goes through the entire week of what she did and what she wore to it.
The video has a lot of strengths but something that really stands out to me is how smooth and professional the footage is. Most vlogs are usually shaky but not hers. She puts a lot of effort into each of her videos. I also love that she goes to beautiful places in NYC to get footage and she is constantly mixing it up. She never films at the same place twice.
I don’t think there are many weaknesses in this video, the only thing that I can see is the voiceover is a little scratchy. There might be some noise in the background of where she was doing the voiceover.
This video is trying to share some outfit ideas and inspiration as well as telling you where to get them. She explains each item she is wearing each day and where she bought them. This is extremely nice so that others can have an easy time recreating them.
All of her videos use good design work. I like the font that she used in this one because it is very modern and hip. I also liked how she blocked the text out so it is easier to read. I also like that she is the center of the frame her because it really makes her stand out. In other clips she is more towards the side and I like that as well to give it more composition.
Likes and comments will determine if this video is successful. Because it is on Youtube, a high number of likes and positive comments are a way to determine how well it went.
